Giving Tree

Our 2nd Annual Giving Tree kicks off on Saturday, November 30 at 9:00am. We will be looking for some volunteers to help set up the Giving Tree display at Moosup’s Rotary Park in downtown Moosup, as well as prep packages for future refills.

Remember, you don’t have to be homeless to have a need, and this tree can help everyone who just needs a little something to warm them up on the outside and what better way for you to warm up on the inside than to help donate time or needed materials?! We will collecting donations of clean and gently used or new hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, and blankets for the Tree as we will be refilling through January 2025.

Arts & Crafts Vendors Fair

Mission Moosup is hosting its first annual Fall Arts & Crafts Vendor Fair at Moosup’s new Rotary Park! The fair will take place on Saturday, October 5th, from 9am-3pm. All interested vendors should email Beth Anderson @ missionmoosup@gmail.com for the application form. All applications with payment must be submitted by September 25th in order to be reviewed.

Come join us for a day of celebrating small business in the area! Enjoy some yummy snacks while by visiting The Nest Food Truck & Catering while you’re there :)

Vendors will be selected on a first come first serve basis and Mission Moosup reserves the right to make the final selection of vendors so as to ensure a variety of experiences and items.

Mini Food Truck Fest 2024

Come join us for some yummy treats while you shop at Moosup’s Neighborhood Yard Sale! Trucks are from the local area and include: Moosup’s Masonic Lodge 113 - Biscuits & Gravy, Wicked Sinister Smokehouse, The Nest Food Truck & Catering, & Frozen Cheeks Frosty Treats. Trucks will be ready to serve from 10am-2pm.

Event will be located in the back lot behind Moosup Elementary School (MES). Use the Daggett Street entrance. We encourage entrance on foot as the roads will be highly congested.

Eat, and shop, local!

*Bring a lawn chair and/or blanket, snacks, and your bug spray and join us for the movie Shrek outside on the lawn at MES!! If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll move to the gym!*

Aldrich Free Public Library Book Drive

We will be running a book drive fundraiser for our little local library through the month of June! Check out our Amazon gift list and select from a variety of books that you can purchase/donate to the library to modernize and increase their selection.

Prefer to donate cash instead? No problem, we’ve got you! Stay tuned for a Venmo QR code that will link to Mission Moosup. Those funds will be collected and donated to the library to purchase what they need directly!

Be Happy Fest

Plainfield Recreation has teamed up with local wellness professionals in a multitude of areas, all in effort to offer the community support in all aspects of life from mental, physical, spiritual, nutritional, and overall happiness.

Enjoy all the festival has to offer such as games, activities, presentations, free swag, fitness expos, moonbounce, RaRa’s Frozen Express, DJ, performers, and so much more!

We will have a table at Plainfield Recreation’s Be Happy Festival! Feeling connected to your community and giving back through volunteerism can do wonders for creating a sense of belonging and well being!

Don’t forget to bring your non-perishables to donate to Project PIN! We are trying to “Line the Track,” will your donation be the one to complete the loop?

Earth Day

Join us for Earth Day 2024! We are looking forward to another great turnout for this event. Planning is well underway for this fun, community connecting event! Gloves, bags, and pickers will all be provided. Water bottles and light breakfast refreshments will also be provided for volunteers. The first 50 people to sign up will be receiving a free ice cream token donated by Hank’s Dairy Bar in Plainfield.
